A Dangerous Meeting
This podcast specializes in heavy metal of all types, hardcore and punk. All episodes originally aired on WSPJLP Spark Syracuse. The idea is to interview musicians and people involved with music I have great respect for and I ask them to select five songs that made them want to get involved in playing music. I more recent episodes I started going through the discographies of the artists as well and having them select their favorite track from it. All songs censored with fart sounds when needed, because let’s be honest farts are hilarious. New episodes will be uploaded every Tuesday and a Patreon will be launched soon where there will be exclusive episodes, live sets and more. Theme song by Syracuse killing machine Shadow Snakes.

For those of you who are familiar with this history of extreme music in Syracuse, Shaun Luu should be a name you are extremely familiar with. He was the vocalist for Word As A Virus, Marrakech and Ebony Sorrow and an all around great guy loved by all of us in the music community. Almost 20 years ago he died of brain cancer and his spirit still resonates within all of us. On this episode a plethora of his friends tell stories and choose a song that remind them of him. This aired on what would have been his 40th birthday.

Side note: the second day of Syracuse fest was the first show I ever went to by myself, super nervous. After Culture's set (where he literally crawled into the venue's ceiling) he was the first person to start talking to me and made me feel a lot less nervous. Super great dude.
